National Trails Day Hike – Kanawha State Forest
June 7 @ 9:00 am
Hikers meet me at the Dunlop Hollow Picnic Area at 9am! We will take the Wildcat Ridge Trail for approximately 1 mile to where it connects with the Polly Trail (1.4 miles). Hikers will have an opportunity to take in beautiful views from on top of the rock formations on Polly! We’ll take the Polly Trail down to Dunlop Hollow. The hike will be approximately 2.4 miles long. Difficulty: Moderate to Difficult. The initial ascent on Wildcat features steep switchbacks; narrow, steep trails wind around and below the formations. Hike will take approximately 2.5 hours with stops for interpretation and breaks. Earn a National Trails Day Incentive!
