The West Virginia Caucus of the Mid-Atlantic Regional Archives Conference (MARAC) is celebrating with the launch of a new website, www.archivingwestvirginia.org.
The mission of Archiving West Virginia is to create an online directory of archival repositories around the state, host blog posts and galleries highlighting and promoting individual archival collections, and create a calendar of events pertaining to archival collections and West Virginia Archives Month.
Archives Month gives those in the profession an opportunity to tell people that items that are important to them are being preserved, cataloged, cared for, and made accessible by archivists. Help us spread the word. Watch for future blog posts, attend an event, or download and print a West Virginia Archives Month Poster to hang in a public place or post on social media!
